Delete your account

You can ask us to delete your Voice of Keralam account at any time. You don't have to give a reason.

How to ask

Send an email to xqtechsolutions@gmail.com from the email address you sign in with.

• Subject: Delete my account
• Message: the name shown on your profile in the app.

If you can't send an email, call or WhatsApp +91 62354 55560.

We reply to confirm the request. We may ask you a simple question first, so that nobody else can delete your account.

What we delete

Within 90 days of confirming your request, we permanently delete:

• your account and sign-in details (email address and password)
• your mobile number
• your name and profile
• the place you saved for "Your representatives"
• your notification settings and your phones' notification tokens

Reports that nobody else has voted on, commented on or acted on are deleted too.

What stays

Reports and comments that other people have voted on, commented on or acted on are part of a public record of local problems. They stay, shown as "Former resident", without your name or any way to contact you.

We keep information longer only where the law requires it, for example to answer a legal request or a complaint. Our database provider's backups are cleared on their normal schedule.
